TPZ Public Hearing WILL Take Place Sept. 2 at 6:30pm on 804 Fountain Street Application
UPDATED AS OF 5:00pm on 9/2/25 - Continued Public Hearing WILL TAKE PLACE Sept. 2
Update: TPZ hearing on 804 Fountain Street WILL take place tonight.
The Town Plan & Zoning Commission will hold the continued public hearing on the 804 Fountain Street application tonight, September 2 at 6:30 pm in the Center Building (4 Meetinghouse Lane). The hearing, carried over from July, has caused confusion after one related hearing was cancelled for lack of proper notice (see below for details) while this one remained valid. The situation highlights the need for clearer communication and greater transparency in the public hearing process.
The TPZ Chairman, Robert Klee, addressed some of these concerns as he opened the meeting (see video of this portion of the meeting, below).
You can view the entire meeting recording by visiting the WGATV YouTube channel.

According to a notice published on the town website’s Agenda Center Thursday afternoon, the Town Plan and Zoning (TPZ) Commission has cancelled its September 2 public hearing due to a legal notice issue. The hearing will be rescheduled. The regular meeting will still be held, but no public comment is expected.
