This Week in Woodbridge

November 17, 2025 weekly subscriber update from the Woodbridge Town Chronicle

This Week in Woodbridge

With last week’s recanvass closing the books on our 2025 municipal election, the focus now turns to the work ahead. Newly elected officials will begin their terms on January 1, and the Board of Selectmen–elect will meet just prior to that to make appointments to boards and commissions. Work on the next town budget will begin almost immediately in the new year, with a series of joint budget meetings already scheduled for January.

Up in Hartford, state lawmakers have wrapped up a special session focused on cost-of-living and housing measures, and the Governor has announced he will seek another term in the November 2026 election. Meanwhile, the Connecticut General Assembly’s 2026 regular session will run from February 4 through May 6, 2026. When the legislature reconvenes, decisions made at the Capitol — combined with decisions made here at home — will help shape Woodbridge’s priorities for 2026.

Through it all, the Woodbridge Town Chronicle will be keeping you informed — your town, your news, straight to your inbox each Monday.
