Road Work in Focus: A Photo Essay on Signs, Streets, and What’s Ahead
Milling and paving work in our community
Orange cones, bold detour signs, and the constant hum of equipment — road work serves as one of the most visible reminders of how our town keeps itself connected. This fall, Woodbridge drivers may find themselves navigating around construction cones as the Public Works Department tackles key maintenance and paving projects.
The following roads are included in Woodbridge's 2025 paving program:
- Clark Road
- North Pease Road
- Rice Road
- Cornfield Lane
- Warren Road
- Peck Hill Road (segment from No. 100 to Rimmon Road)
- Old Farm Road
Work began with milling on August 11, 2025, starting with Old Farm Road and continuing through Peck Hill, North Pease, Rice Road, Cornfield Lane, and Warren Road. Paving dates will be scheduled soon — check the Public Works page on the town website for more information on timing as details become available. Roads will remain open during construction, though minor delays are expected due to equipment movement.
These photos capture more than just road signs — they tell a story of investment, and infrastructure maintenance that brings better travel, improved safety, and stronger stormwater management. While the work may slow your commute or necessitate a detour, the outcome promises smoother roads, safer crossings, and better service for emergency responders, school buses, cyclists, and all travelers.
