How to Vote in Woodbridge

The Town of Woodbridge Registrar of Voters Office is responsible for the administration of all elections and the registration of voters, working under the direction of the Secretary of the State in accordance with Connecticut law. Registrars are elected every two years — one from each major party — to ensure bipartisan oversight. Their mission is to ensure fair and transparent elections by providing accessible voter registration, accurate vote counting, and unbiased support to all candidates and political parties.

As the Woodbridge municipal election season has begun, the Registrars have centralized helpful voting resources on the Town website to ensure residents are prepared to participate in the November 4, 2025 election. From registering to vote to applying for an absentee ballot, here’s what you need to know.

🗳️ Registering to Vote

Woodbridge residents can register to vote online through the Secretary of State’s website. You can also register in person at the Town Clerk’s Office (Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM) or during the Registrar of Voters’ office hours on Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Town Hall. You can also register to vote by mail using a printable form, or through the DMV.

The State also allows for Election Day Registration (EDR). Residents who have never registered to vote or who have moved into Woodbridge from another town may appear at the EDR location on Election Day, register, and cast a ballot. You must provide proof of identity and residence.
